LIS in EMPOWER webinar week on Artificial Intelligence

EADTU held a webinar week related to AIEd (Artificial Intelligence for education). In the different webinars, EADTU wanted to address topics and related ethical issues related to AI in education with experts in the field. 

The webinar had the next webinars:

  • Artificial Intelligence in Teaching (AIT): A roadmap for future developments (Wayne Holmes, Nesta, The United Kingdom, José Bidarra, Universidade Aberta, Portugal, Henrik Køhler Simonsen, SmartLearning, Denmark)
  • Human-Computer Learning Interaction in a Virtual Laboratory (Vassilis Zafeiropoulos, Hellenic Open University, Greece)
  • Empowering education by artificial intelligence (Jesus Boticario, UNED, Spain)
  • A personalized early warning system for supporting learners: the UOC case(David Baneres, lecturer at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain)
  • AI applications in higher education – challenges and opportunities in ODE(Prof. Olaf Zawacki-Richter, Ph.D., Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany)
  • I would not worry so much about buying an intelligent learning system but spending money on buying a sexist one (Covadonga Rodrigo, UNED – Spain & Francisco Iniesto, OUUK – United Kingdom)

LIS Project presented the highlighting contributions during the second pilot.
